As I look in the back seat of the car Jonas is sipping on a milk sippy and Lucy is cooing beside him. We are headed north on 65 toward the Hills house a family from church that we have appointment to talk about missoins too. I check the clock it says 9:30 and I smile inside knowing we will arrive one time which rarely happens these days. I chat with Ben for a few minutes then glance at the clock once again 9:34 and begin to hear the most dreaded sound but common coming from Jonas in the back seat. At 9:35 Jonas is covered in throw up and Ben starts to panick he insits on me cleaning it up. Contimplating how I am going to get the diaper bag which is squished behind my seat and wondering if Jonas has any extra clothes. Ben says, "Take the wheel." We proceed to drive north as we realize at this point in time that we don't have the Hills number and now it is too late to turn back. Ben hastily grabs the backpack and throws it in my a lap then a wet sensation begins to drip down my thigh as the diaper bag tips over the water bottle I was drinking. I exclaim, " oh great now it looks like I peed my pants." Ben chuckles as I know he wouldn't be if the roles were reversed. I look in the back pack quickly for extra clothes for Jonas and come up with a negative so I grab the few diaper wipes we have and clench to them as I realize they are the only chance of still making the meeting. Then I turn the vents toward my pants and put the heat on high as I realize it is highly unlikely they will dry in five minutes but worth a chance. We continue on 65 until we pull into their driveway. I wipe Jonas' pants off coat off and send him toward the door with Lucy and Daddy. When I walk up ben is sheepishly trying to explain the trauma in te car. They laugh and let us enter, they tell us of their new dog they got a few days before. We proceed to talk about our missions. Jonas is playing in the back room with their son , stinky but happy. I cross my legs hoping the water dries quickly when I spot the dog jumping on couch beside me. Ben is now deep in conversation on the couch beside them. I have Lucy on my lap when the dog mistakes me for their long lost lover and I try to get it off my arm but it proceeds. The wife spots the dog and comments that the dog shoud leave the room as they break into hysterical laughter. At this point in time I realize that Satan is still trying to devert God's work being done even if it is with clever schemes of throw up, water spilling, and a dog in heat.

Oh, wow. Way to persevere through all of that for God's work! And you are right, there are forces at work!
